About Distil

AI-powered invoice processing built for UK small businesses and accounting practices

Our Story

Haisem was founded in 2024 by Gus, a UK accountant who spent years manually processing client invoices and receipts. After posting hundreds of invoices by hand each month, he realized there had to be a better way.

Existing tools required clients to download apps and create accounts - a major barrier. Some charged extra for bank statements. Generic OCR tools didn't understand UK VAT codes or nominal structures.

So Gus built Haisem: a tool designed specifically for UK businesses and accounting professionals. No client apps. No per-client fees. Just simple upload links, AI that understands UK documents, and plans from £12/month.
